Just mix up a few simple ingredients to make this Greek Yogurt Dressing. This healthy salad dressing has a simple and versatile tangy flavor.
Why you’ll love this recipe
- Creamy dressing without mayo – I love a creamy salad dressing, but mayonnaise can be a polarizing ingredient for some people. This yogurt salad dressing is a delicious creamy dressing but uses Greek yogurt in place of mayonnaise. Plus, it adds a bit of protein to your dressing!
- Perfect for meal prep – This greek yogurt dressing is the perfect thing to make on a Sunday and enjoy all week long.
- Easy to make – Combine all ingredients and whisk! There’s no emulsifying or chopping involved, so there’s almost no prep time. You can make this dressing in a total time under five minutes!
- Sweet, tangy flavor – It is a perfect balance of sweetness and tang using ingredients like yogurt, honey, and apple cider vinegar. The flavor pairs well with a vegetable loaded green salad!
Serving Suggestions
This Greek yogurt dressing is perfect for a simple green salad with veggies like cucumbers, onions and cherry tomatoes, and fresh herbs like basil, dill, and chives. I also love adding feta cheese. they can also be used in other ways! I love this dressing as a dip for roasted vegetables.
You can also eat it with raw carrots or broccoli, or anything you like to dip in something like a ranch dressing.
You could use this dressing as a way to add a creamy texture in a traditional Greek salad. It would also be so tasty on top of turkey burgers or chicken thighs. It’s a great addition to your next Greek dinner party.
Ingredients
- Greek yogurt or a non-dairy yogurt – use your favorite brand of plain Greek yogurt
- Olive oil – I use extra virgin olive oil because it adds a little flavor
- Apple cider vinegar – the vinegar adds acidity to brighten all the flavors
- Honey – honey is the perfect sweetener for your dressing
- Kosher salt, garlic powder, dried dill – this simple spice blend adds a delicious Greek flavor
Ingredient Substitutions
In place of the olive oil, you could use a light, neutral oil like an avocado oil. Instead of apple cider vinegar, white or red wine vinegar are great options. For the honey, maple syrup is a good alternative.
You can also use this greek yogurt dressing recipe as a base to mix it up with some other flavors! Add pepper and lemon juice for some extra tang to create a greek yogurt ranch.
Instead of the garlic powder, you could add a pressed garlic clove. Feel free to add any other flavors or spices to taste, such as dijon mustard, onion powder or oregano.
I find it easiest to whisk this Greek salad dressing, but it can also be made in a blender or food processor.
