Here’s a quick look at the ingredients you need to make this mixed berry cobbler. For a full list of ingredients and amounts please head to the full recipe.

- Mixed berries – You can use any combination of berries that you love. I used strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. They can be fresh berries or frozen if berries are out of season.
- Sugar – use white sugar to add sweetness and caramelize the fruit as it bakes
- Flour – the flour creates the base of the crumbly cobbler topping
- Butter – use unsalted butter here to control the amount of salt that is added to your berry cobbler
You can use any combination of berries you like. Feel free to mix it up and try different combinations. For a bit more zest in your cobbler, add some fresh lemon juice or lemon zest.
To make this cobbler gluten free, use a gluten free flour in place of the all purpose flour. If you prefer a thicker, syrupy cobbler, add two tablespoons cornstarch instead of one to thicken the juices.
To serve this cobbler, spoon some into a bowl and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. I also love to pair this dessert with some other simple treats, like strawberry cake mix cookies and chocolate dip for fruit.

Mad’s Expert Tips for the Best Mixed Berry Cobbler 🥧
- Use cornstarch to make your filling – The combination of cornstarch and sugar with your berries makes the perfect syrupy filling for your cobbler.
- Gently mix the filling – To avoid mashing your berries, gently mix the filling until just combined. It will create the perfect texture for your filling.
- Don’t overcrowd your topping – To get the perfect golden brown crumble, make sure not to add too much or overcrowd the top of the cobbler. By spreading it in an even layer, you avoid steaming the top and get the perfect crisp.
- Use frozen berries to make this cobbler year round – you don’t have to wait for summer and fresh berries to make this easy dessert. Prepare this berry cobbler with mixed berries straight from the freezer!
