A healthy peanut butter dip you can make in minutes

I live to snack. If you know me, you know my afternoon snack is quite possibly my favorite part of my day.

To stay full I look for a blend of fiber, fat and protein. This delicious peanut butter apple dip combines all of those with just four simple ingredients!

To make this yogurt fruit dip simply mix together plain or vanilla yogurt, creamy peanut butter, ground flax seed and ground cinnamon. Mix until it is evenly combined and get to dipping!

Kitchen Tools

  • Measuring spoons and measuring cups
  • Mixing bowl
  • Small serving bowl
  • Whisk and spatula for mixing and serving
  • Sharp knife and cutting board for cutting apples

serving Suggestions

I prefer to serve this peanut butter dip with apples, but it is also delicious with all kinds of fruit. Serve a dollop of this yogurt fruit dip on top of mixed berries in place of whipped cream.

Spread it over toast in place of regular peanut butter to add extra fiber and healthy fats. You can even add a scoop to the top of oatmeal for an extra boost of protein and flavor.

My favorite type of apple to serve with this are honey crisp. They are perfectly sweet and always super crisp. If you like a blend of sweet and sour use granny smith apple slices for dipping!

Recipe Ingredients

  • Plain or vanilla yogurt
  • Creamy peanut butter
  • Ground flax seeds
  • Ground cinnamon

ingredient substitutions

I like to use plain or vanilla yogurt, but you can use any flavor you like! You could use strawberry yogurt to make a peanut butter and jelly dip.

To make this peanut butter apple dip dairy free just use your favorite dairy free yogurt! I like cashew or coconut yogurts best.

You can use ground chia seed in place of ground flax seed, but it will alter the texture of the dip slightly. You can also use any nut butter in place of peanut butter. Peanut butter is my favorite, but you can also use almond butter or cashew butter.

How to make a peanut butter apple dip

Step 1: Mix ingredients together

To begin, measure out 1/2 cup yogurt, 1/4 cup of creamy peanut butter, 2 tbsp ground flax seed, and 1 tsp of ground cinnamon. Whisk them together in a mixing bowl.

The mixture will become smooth and fluffy as it is mixed.

Step 2: Serve with fresh fruit

Clean fresh fruit like apples and cut into slices. Serve the fluffy peanut butter dip with the apple slices.

Storage

Store this peanut butter dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. It is best enjoyed the first day it is made.

This dip is so good! I am pregnant and already imagining serving it to my future child- lol. The combo almost tastes like a frosting to me. I’m a long time apples and peanut butter fan- but this dip is a level up!
