How should I serve these turkey feta burgers?

You can serve this delicious Greek turkey burger recipe in many ways! You can served them on a bun with some sliced tomato, raw onion and feta cheese.

Personally, I like to enjoy these ground turkey burgers on a bed of lettuce with a scoop of this Greek salad. Then, I make a simple tzatziki sauce by combining Greek yogurt, lemon juice, fresh dill, and some sliced cucumbers.

You can also serve them on a simple spinach and feta salad with cucumber, tomato and a generous drizzle of this green dream dressing. Top the whole thing with these easy pickled red onions.

These healthy burger patties are ideal for meal prep. Just prep them on Sunday and make up a few lunch containers with Greek burgers and a simple Greek salad. They would also be delicious on top of this veggie couscous salad.

What kitchen tools will I need to make these Greek Turkey Burgers?

  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring cups
  • Liquid measuring cup
  • Mixing bowls
  • Grill pan or grill – I like to use a cast iron grill pan, but you can also use a standard cast iron skillet.
  • Spatula

What ingredients will I need to make this healthy turkey burger recipe?

  • Ground turkey
  • Egg
  • Red onion
  • Feta
  • Ground pork rinds – can use almond flour or standard bread crumbs
  • Dried parsley
  • Dried oregano
  • Crushed red pepper

Ingredient Substitutions

I like to make these Greek burger patties with ground turkey, but there are many ways to make them. You can use ground chicken, ground lamb or if you prefer beef burgers, you can use ground beef.

I make my own seasoning blend with dried parsley, dried oregano and crushed red pepper. If you prefer, you can use a simple Greek seasoning blend. You can also use fresh herbs. To make these burgers a little healthier, mix fresh spinach into the mixture before cooking.

Let’s make some Greek Turkey Burgers!

Step 1: Mix the ingredients

First, add ground turkey, onion, feta, egg, pork rinds, dried parsley, dried oregano, and crushed red pepper to a large mixing bowl. Then, mix until thoroughly combined.

Step 2: Form the patties

Next, form the mixture into six 5oz patties. I wet my hands to help the mixture not stick to them.

You can eyeball the size of the patties but I use a scale to ensure even cooking. 5oz patties are medium sized, to make large patties use a bit more of the mixture for each burger.

Step 3: Grill the patties

Then, heat a greased grill pan or grill over medium heat. Once hot, add the burgers to the grill or pan. Cook the burgers for 7 minutes per side on an uncovered pan or open grill.

Check that the Greek burgers are cooked through with a thermometer. They are fully cooked when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F. Finally, allow to cool slightly and enjoy!

How long will these ground turkey burgers keep in the fridge?

Once prepared, store these Greek turkey burgers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in a toasted oven, oven, stovetop or microwave.

Can I freeze these turkey feta burgers?

Yes! You can freeze these keto turkey burgers and defrost later. They are perfect for a freezer meal prep session.

The best way to do this would be to mix the ingredients together, form into patties and freeze prior to cooking the patties. Then, defrost and cook as needed.

I have not tested this recipe in an air fryer but it should work. Just make sure to flip them halfway and to check to make sure the internal temp is 165 degrees.

Another amazing recipe from Madeline! We did them on the stove in a cast iron skillet because it was pouring rain outside and they still turned out so delicious. Everything caramelized so beautifully (and tasty) and I can’t wait to have leftovers for lunch today!

Made these in meatball form and served over zoodles and they were TO DIE FOR. Probably one of my favorite things I cooked this year.

These are DELICIOUS! The recipe makes a bunch, so I froze the extras and have been enjoying them once a week for a while now. Very good served over a greek inspired salad. Highly recommend this for an upgraded version of a burger.
