Serving suggestions
Serve this Christmas charcuterie wreath for any party or gathering throughout the Christmas season. I like to serve it with a festive cocktail or mocktail like this pomegranate margarita.
Some of my other favorite appetizers to serve alongside these antipasto skewers are whipped goat cheese dip, an asparagus and cheddar galette and prosciutto wrapped asparagus.

Ingredients
- Pepperoni and salami – start each skewer with a folded piece of cured meat. I did a turkey pepperoni on one and salami on the other.
- Cornichons and olives – next I added a brined vegetable to the skewer. I used green olives, but you could use black olives or kalamata olives.
- Cubed cheddar cheese, havarti cheese and marinated mozzarella balls – a variety of cheese is necessary for any good cheese plate and this holiday charcuterie wreath is no exception.
- Peppadew peppers or marinated red peppers – the peppadew peppers are a mix of spicy and sweet so if you don’t like spicy swap them out for sliced marinated red peppers.
- Cherry tomatoes – the pop of red at the end of the antipasto skewer is like the holly berries on a traditional Christmas wreath
- Long toothpicks – use long toothpick to make each antipasto bite.
- Fresh rosemary sprigs – place the sprigs of rosemary in between the skewers to give the wreath a fresh and lifelike look.
Ingredient Substitutions
The skewers that I made for this holiday platter are just suggestions for what you can do at your home. Make a sweeter skewer by using brie cheese and grapes. You can also use a cranberry cheese for more festive holiday flavors.
There are many other cured meats options you can use like prosciutto or sliced chorizo. If you are vegetarian you can omit the meat completely.
Complete this festive Christmas charcuterie board by adding a bowl of nuts and a plate of crackers next to it.
Up the Italian flavor of the skewers with mozzarella by adding some fresh basil or a drizzle of fresh olive oil. Fresh herbs always make a festive appetizer even better.

How to make
Step 1: prepare the antipasto skewers
Slide meat, veggies and cheese on to long toothpicks to create antipasto skewers. Make a few different varieties of skewers so that your guests have different options to choose from.
Step 2: arrange in a circle
Arrange in a circle on a large plate or serving platter. Several layers of skewers stacked on top of one another gives the wreath a more realistic look.
Step 3: add fresh rosemary and serve
Place small sprigs of fresh rosemary in between the skewers to add some brightness and greenery to the wreath. This will make it look even more like a festive Christmas wreath.

Storage
Remove the sprigs of rosemary and store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
