Make a delicious spicy mayo at home

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I love my homemade sauces. I’ve made my own homemade mayo for a while and from time to time I will mix together some mayo and srirach, BUT it’s really not the same as a true spicy mayo.

SO I decided to make a spicy mayo recipe. This homemade spicy mayo is made with simple ingredients, but when the flavor comes together it is tangy, spicy and delicious.

I made this recipe with all Whole30 friendly ingredients. This means that it is a dairy free and keto spicy mayo.

What kitchen tools will I need to make this spicy sauce?

  • Measuring spoons and measuring cups
  • Liquid measuring cups
  • Immersion blender
  • Wide mouth mason jar for storage

What ingredients will I need to make this homemade spicy mayo?

You will be amazed at how easy it is to make this delicious spicy mayo recipe with just a few simple ingredients.

  • Egg
  • White vinegar
  • Hot sauce – I like Frank’s Red Hot
  • Sriracha – I like Yellowbird sriracha
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Extra light olive oil

What other recipes can I use this spicy mayo for?

My favorite way to use this sauce is on sushi. I have a sushi burrito recipe and I toss my fillings in this spicy mayo before rolling up the burrito.

You can also use this on a spread for sandwiches like my no bread turkey club or as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets!

How do you make spicy mayo?

Step 1: Add ingredients to a jar

First, crack a room temperature egg into a large wide-mouth jar. Then, add the vinegar, hot sauce, sriracha, oil, salt, and pepper to the jar.

Step 2: Blend

Next, place the immersion blender into the bottom of the jar and begin to blend. Then, continue blending pulling the blender up and down as you blend until a thick mayo remains.

Step 4: Enjoy!

This was so easy and so good! I’m still surprised I didn’t mess it up! I will definitely be using the rest of your mayo recipes because literally every store bought mayo is soy based. I made this for grilled hot dogs and put this on the bun and loaded up with pickled jalapeños and pickled red onions for an almost banh mi hot dog and it was the perfect addition.

OKAY that banh mi hotdog sounds heavenly! So glad you enjoyed the mayo and I agree homemade sauces are the way to go because you can use way better ingredients

I LOVE spicy Mayo on everything: sushi, rice, French fries, salmon, and sandwiches. This recipe is so quick and easy. I am not on whole30 but feel good about knowing what’s in my spicy Mayo and that it won’t upset my stomach.

This is very tasty! I would not consider myself to be a Mayo-lover, but my sons and I added this to a couple of sammies over the holidays and WOW. Super duper delicious. Really adds a comforting kick to your favorite dishes. We also love to dip w chicken tenders.
