2tbspsimple syrupmore or less for sweetness factor
2tbsptriple sec
1cupof ice
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. If you have trouble blending, you can add a splash more of water or lime juice.
Prepare 2 glasses by rubbing a cut lime around the rim. Dip and twist the rim of the glass in kosher salt on a flat plate. You can also use raw sugar or tajin for the rim.
Divide the margaritas into the two prepped glasses and serve. Best if enjoyed immediately
Notes
You can make this a shaken drink instead of a frozen one. Just replace the frozen mango and sweetener with 1/2 cup of mango juice or mango puree. Shake the mango juice in a cocktail shaker with the tequila and lime juice with ice. Pour over ice and top with a little bit of lime seltzer water. Garnish with a wedge of lime and serve.
You can easily turn this mango margarita into a mocktail!! Just leave out the tequila and the triple sec. Replace the tequila with the same amount of sparkling water - I prefer to use a lime flavored one. And you can add a splash of orange juice in place of the triple sec.
Add a pinch of chili powder or cayenne pepper powder to add a little kick to this recipe.
You can also use this same recipe with any of your favorite frozen fruit. Strawberries or pineapple would be delicious.
Prepare ahead of time and freeze in a silicone ice cube tray. Then, blend just before serving
