Ingredients

  • 16 oz ground breakfast sausage - I used pork
  • 12 eggs
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 20 oz frozen tater tots

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  • Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add the ground sausage to the warm frying pan, brown and break into crumbles. Remove from heat once cooked through.
  • In a mix bowl whisk eggs, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper together.
  • Pour the cooked sausage into the baking dish and then the egg mixture. Mix the two together and then top with a layer of shredded cheese.
  • Arrange the tater tots in an even layer on top of the other ingredients.
  • Bake at 350F for 70-75 minutes - be sure that the eggs in the middle of the casserole are fully set. Remove from the oven and cool slightly before cutting into slices.
