My Top Picks from Everlane
Throughout my wardrobe clean out, my goal has never been to deprive myself and be the kind of person who owns as few items as possible. My goal is to LOVE every item that I own. Since creating my own version of a minimal wardrobe I have found it easier to get dressed every day AND easier to avoid the temptation of shopping. One brand that has helped immensely on this journey has been Everlane. This blog is not sponsored by them I just love their stuff and have had a couple people ask me which items in particular are my favorites. That said these links are commission links, so if you choose to purchase any of them I will make a small amount on each purchase.
For size comparison… I am 5’3”, 135-145 lbs depending on the season of life, I have a larger bum and thighs, but a small chest and medium waist. I listed the size I purchased with each item.
My Everlane Favorites
The Cotton Box Cut Tee - The PERFECT white tee. I have been on the hunt for one of these for a long time and my journey finally ended with this. It is the perfect weight so that it is not see through, but still breathable. I have this in the pocket version and striped version as well. I bought a size Small.
The Straight Leg Crop - My everyday work pants that genuinely take me from day to night - they are high waisted with a slight flare at the end which makes them look super cute with booties, sneakers and loafers. I got them in Black in 4 Short, but thinking of getting more colors next fall.
The Cheeky Straight Jean - The perfect jean for when you’ve graduated from SUPER TIGHT jeans. I used these to replace an extra tight pair of black jeans that were forever making me feel bad about myself and my weight. These are cute and flattering without squeezing my like a sausage. I bought the 27 regular, but I had them hemmed to get them to the perfect length. Looks like they have added an ankle option for us short gals!
The Soft Cotton Square Crew - My aunts have a word for clothes that make you feel good and cozy - they call them munchy! This sweater is munchy. It is so soft and cozy, but somehow makes you look put together. A capsule wardrobe must have. I got a Small in Bone, but I am thinking of using the remainder of my spring budget on the Spanish clay.
Linen Split-Neck Top - Basically any of the Everlane linen tops are a good choice. They make me feel sophisticated and put together, but work well for me when I am sweating in the summer heat. I also have my eye on the Linen Relaxed Shirt in Lavender. I bought this in a 2 because reviews said it was a bit oversized.
The Patch Pocket Short - When I wear shorts, I am looking for comfort and for my bum to be fully covered! These work so well for that. I love the apricot color and I don’t need to worry if a butt cheek will be shown when I wear them. I bought the 4 and the fit is great even with thicker thighs
Other things to note:
Shoes - I have tried their shoes and they are FABULOUS, but I have a wider foot so not for me. That said I have these loafers and they are beautifully made and comfy. I got a 7, my usual size.
Any of the Air Shirts - these are made from a beautiful, light material so they can be see through so be mindful when picking a color. I have The Air Cami in Toasted Coconut and I love the fit, but may need to wear a bralette.
